I absolutely adore Fall family photo season, even though it’s hands down my busiest time of the year! Catching up with parents and connecting with the kids always makes such a big difference in photos from year to year, so needless to say, I’m excited to see this crew again this Fall! I thought it was about time to share their gorgeous Hampton park session because I just loved the connection and joy in these images.

Booking your Fall Family Photos in Charleston

Fall family photos are always at the top of families’ to-do lists, so I definitely recommend booking early. This is particularly true if you need a weekend date, as those are extremely limited! My Fall schedule typically fills up by September, which I am so thankful for, but it also makes me so sad when I have to turn families down. The best way to ensure your desired session date is to book early or hear about mini session dates by signing up for my newsletter.

Thankfully last year, I was able to schedule this family’s session on a bit of an overcast day. It ended up being so beautiful! We met at one of my favorite locations, Hampton Park, to document portraits of the five of them!

The kids are the sweetest. I know I say that about every kid, but it’s true!! I loved seeing how good the girls were with their brother- they were like little mamas!

Best Time to Schedule your Session

If I had to pick a specific month, I’d say October. BUT keep in mind that this is right in the bulk of the busy season because our weather is just that fabulous! By October, it’s getting cooler and less humid during the day but not too cold for little ones! Even on an overcast day like this one, film brings out some beautiful pastel tones in places like Hampton Park.
