One of the absolute best parts of being a Mount Pleasant newborn photographer is being welcomed into a client’s home for a lifestyle newborn session. It doesn’t get much sweeter than experiencing a newborn session surrounded by all the beautiful reminders of how loved these precious babies are.

This sweet family is part of my First Year Membership, and I’ve had the best time getting to know them over the last few months. Recently, they were my first full session in the new studio, and it was SO much fun! I cannot wait to share those images here!! Their sweet boy is now a bubbly six-month-old, and it’s been the most precious thing seeing his little personality blossom.

We started our photo journey together for the most beautiful Petite Pregnancy Announcement session downtown, and here they are just a few months later! It’s crazy how much can change in a few months, right?!

Lifestyle Newborn Session

Baby boy was alert for the first half of the session, so we rolled with it. I’ll take an awake baby anytime if he’s happy!! I know there can feel like a bit of pressure to be sure baby is sleeping for your session but try not to stress about it! I will always prioritize your baby’s need to feel calm and happy while getting beautiful portraits.

Mom and Dad were just so over the moon in love with this little one (and each other). It was so sweet to document.

His nursery was perfection, and I loved the care and detail Mom and Dad put into creating this space for him and his adorable collection of “lovies”. As a Mom, I know how much these “lovies” mean to our babies. Seeing the sweet companions Mom and Dad choose before they’re well loved and worn is so fun. It makes my heart swell knowing the adventures these tiny stuffed things will accompany baby on. I also thought the golf balls were such a fun piece of decor. They are from courses that baby’s Grandpa played on with the date of his round and his score!

Mom borrowed from the Client Wardrobe for this session. I even added the dress she wore from the pregnancy photos to the Client Wardrobe, too, because it was so pretty.

I can’t wait to see these three back in the studio so soon for his one-year milestone session!
