This six-month sitter milestone session in the studio with one of my favorite families was the most precious! We met on a cold but sunny winter day at my studio in downtown Charleston.

I have photographed this family twice now, and each time is more joyful than the time before. They’re a Membership family, and I have absolutely adored getting to know them over the past year.

Baby boy was definitely an observer (Mom said that was just like Dad!) but he still gave us lots of sweet smiles. He especially loved playing airplane! Some of my favorites are the tender moments snuggling with Mom.

The Six-Month Sitter Milestone

These sitter sessions around the six-month milestone are always a favorite of mine because it’s so much fun to see my past newborn clients again. Seeing baby from a new perspective as they sit is so much fun and I love seeing how their little personalities are developing. Some are funny and extra curious. Some babies are a little more inquisitive and reserved. It’s honestly such a blessing to get to know these little souls!

Plus by the six-month mark, parents aren’t in that newborn fog anymore. You’re all seasoned parents of an infant who has changed so much in such a short time, and I love documenting this new and exciting season for you.

Charleston Studio Family Photography

I love welcoming families to my studio for these milestone sessions, especially when that milestone falls in the winter when temps are just a bit too chilly for the little ones.

For this session, we used the studio for most of our time together. It allowed us to put baby boy in the sweetest little romper from the Client Wardrobe even though temps were a little cooler.

After a quick wardrobe change to get him in something warmer, we walked a couple of blocks from the studio for some quick snaps outside and a change of scenery.

I love having this option for clients, with my studio being so central to some of Charleston’s most historic streets!
