This Fall family mini session in Charleston was such a fun one, I cannot get over how adorable this sweet boy is!! We met on a very sunny Fall day at Hampton Park for a quick 20 minute session. I only offer these family mini sessions once a year in the Fall, so the spots book up crazy fast. Usually within the first day of launching sign ups both days of minis are filled!

Thankfully, this beautiful Mama was able to snag a spot so that we could work together!

I love shooting at Hampton Park because it offers so much variety. Depending on the weather, it can feel like many different places at once. Even on a cloudy day it’s still beautiful! But there’s just something so special about that Fall light reflecting off of all of the Spanish moss at these park sessions.

As a boy mom myself, I know they like to be on the move and constantly exploring. This little guy was no different- so we embraced that and let him do his thing! There were a few moments where he sat on the blanket that I was able to document his long eyelashes.

Though the Client Wardrobe isn’t available for Fall mini sessions, this family nailed it in the styling!! I loved how the little smocked bubble with blue shoes, complimented the neutrals on Dad and soft pink dress on Mama.

Fall family Mini Session in Charleston, South Carolina

A mini session is a great idea if you really just want a couple family portraits for holiday cards or to frame for family as gifts. They are quick and to the point! Kids who already know me from having full sessions in the past do well with minis.

I definitely suggest a full session if you have little ones that may take a while to warm up; want to be more selective about date, time or location; and want more of the candid images of your family with some of each child by themselves.
