Whether you're coming to see a love-soaked family or lifestyle newborn session, glimpses of beautiful Charleston, or my favorite local restaurant and coffee shops - I am excited to share a little piece of my heart with you.
Sometimes you just hit the jackpot with incredible clients. Four years ago I did just that when this beautiful Mama, Priscilla, booked one of my Fall mini sessions. At the time they were a family of four with two boys, but over the years I have been blessed to photograph their family as they have grown to a family of six. Getting to document this season of motherhood with portraits of just her and her twins was so special.
The bigs were in school during this indoor motherhood event last year, so it gave Priscilla some one-on-one time with just Ziggy and Olive in these photos. As a Mom of two myself, I know just how cherished that individual time can be especially as kiddos get older and busier!
Priscilla is a blogger and author who has been sharing her journey to motherhood in the most beautiful, honest way. Infertility isn’t a club anyone sets out to be in, but it’s made just a bit more bearable with people like Priscilla sharing their stories. If you’re in this waiting season, please read her story. I hope it can be a comfort and encouragement as I know it has been to me in our own experience with infertility.
Seeing her welcome her precious miracle twins has been such a joy. It meant the world to me when she shared that these were some of her favorite images ever. Seeing Ziggy and Olive interact with each other and their little personality differences during this session was so much fun. I can’t wait to continue photographing this precious crew as they grow!
Breastfeeding just one baby is a full-time job in and of itself. But nursing two without being a hot mess, sweating and leaking milk everywhere like I was with one? Well, that’s just inspiring. Priscilla was so grateful to have been able to nurse both of her twins for so long and wanted to mark this milestone at the end of the session.
I know how deeply personal the choice of how to feed your baby can feel. We support all moms in their choice and know that a happy and nourished baby is the only goal.
But, if documenting your nursing journey is something you’d like to do during our session, be sure to let me know as I would be so honored to document this special time for you!
