There is nothing I love more as a Charleston Family Photographer than being able to watch the little ones grow. It feels like I just did Baby L’s lifestyle newborn session, and now we are doing his six month milestone session on Isle of Palms Beach.

This sweet boy is one of the first little ones that I had the honor of photographing throughout his first year. It’s what actually gave me the idea for the First Year Membership! As a photographer, I love that I get to tell baby’s first year through photos. As a Mom, I understand just how fleeting that first year is. I still hang on to those memories of my own boys! Combine the two and I hope you can see the heart behind why I do what I do. It’s absolutely an investment you won’t regret. Oh, and mama’s – having professional photos means you’re more likely to be IN the photos too.

For baby’s six month milestone session, I like to make sure baby is able to sit unassisted for at least a little bit. You’ll sometimes see this referred to as the “sitter session” too. If we need to wait until baby is a little older, that’s totally okay too. I think it’s worth the wait to make sure we get that solo sitting photo!

I love photographing this age too because their little personalities start to show. Baby L is a serious baby (mom says he got that from daddy) so we had to work hard for those adorable smiles in this session. He’s just very calm content and easy going, I can’t wait to see if that changes once he’s on the move!
