I met these sweet first-time parents for their beach maternity session on Isle of Palms, just outside of Charleston. It’s one of my favorite places to do a beach maternity session here in the Charleston area, despite the many options, because the dunes are pretty magical! The sunset was fairly bright for most of the session, but it made for some of my favorite images ever.

Because the sun was so bright even during golden hour, we utilized the dunes quite a bit to provide a little bit of shade. That also gave mama a break from the wind! I just cannot get over how beautiful the film (and digital images) rendered the colors at this session.

Mama wore one of my favorite maxi dresses for this maternity session from my Client Wardrobe. During the styling process, I recommended they pair Dad in a linen shirt for some texture. They looked amazing and were such a joy to work with. I mean, look at that beautiful mama and bump!

First Year Membership

This family is one of my First Year Membership families. For their three sessions within the Membership, they opted for maternity, newborn, and one-year milestone sessions.  I love when families choose the Membership for so many reasons. It’s such an honor to document these big milestones for them as baby grows. And not only do I get to witness their baby girl growing and get to know them well, but I also get to design a custom album for them at the end of their membership.
