It’s been such a joy getting to know this precious family over the last year. I loved getting to help them announce this little one’s arrival with their petite pregnancy announcement session, and I’m so thrilled to share his sitter milestone with his studio milestone session.

It’s been so fun welcoming families into the studio recently, and milestones sessions are perfect if you are hoping to document that sweet 6 month or 1 year stage with your little one!

Benefits of a Studio Milestone Session

There are many benefits of being in the studio for your baby’s milestone sessions. We’ve worked hard to create a welcoming and soothing environment for you and your baby.

Less Distraction

There’s nothing more classic than the simplicity of white walls and linens. In the studio, the focus of your photos are your connection and all of baby’s precious little details. They’re quickly learning new tricks and showing their little personalities, and it’s so fun to have these memories saved forever.

Comfort

The studio also offers a comfortable location, especially on those hot summer days (or even the cold wintery ones!) in Charleston. No need to worry about the wind or other elements! You also have access to a changing table and private space for feeding baby if needed.

Easy Wardrobe Access

A studio session allows for effortless outfit changes too, thanks to the Client Wardrobe! Often it’s much easier to do two outfits in the studio than it is outdoors.

Cake Smashes

For one-year milestone sessions, the studio also offers a perfect space for a small cake at the end of a cake smash session.

When should I plan my studio milestone session?

Milestone sessions don’t have to be specific to the six-month or one-year milestones. Some families want the focus more on developmental milestones than age which is also a great option. Imagine how sweet it would be to have images from the studio every three months to see how much your baby has grown!

Milestone sessions can also be for yearly milestones as your child grows beyond the first year.

Studio milestone sessions can be baby-only, or you can add parents for a full family session, too, like this Membership family did!

We took some quick family portraits outside (just a short walk from the studio), and it was the perfect combination of photos for this stage of life!
