I’m not sure what little details I loved most about this session- the movement of Mama’s dress captured on film, photographing first-time parents, or when families bring along their adorable dog for their baby announcement! Their pup definitely stole the show during Mom and Dad’s Folly Beach maternity photoshoot.

It was the perfect evening for a session with the Folly Beach Pier in the background. I loved getting to know this sweet couple and their pup was so well-behaved- it was fun getting her involved!

Mom and Dad told me they felt awkward in front of the camera (most of us are!) but I promised I’d tell them what to do with their hands. We had a lot of laughs and I just love how their gallery came out! No awkwardness at all!

Babymoon in Charleston

Over the last few years, I have had the honor of photographing so many maternity sessions while couples babymoon in Charleston. I can’t say I blame them, its the perfect spot for a long weekend!

I love that so many parents are taking the time to nurture their marriage and celebrate the little life they have created. Because the truth is, things do change when you have a baby. I know that I value the time I had with my husband before we welcomed each of our boys so much.

And lucky for me this sweet couple extended their stay in Charleston until baby arrives! I get to meet their sweet boy very soon. Be sure to follow along to see how the big sister does with her new baby brother!
