I am not sure how many favorite sessions a photographer can have, but this maternity session at Isle of Palms Beach has to be in the mix! These photos were actually part of an extended family session, but we had so many beautiful images of this immediate family that I just had to share. This sweet family braved the summer heat that Charleston brings, but I think it was well worth it!

Clearly Dad is meant to be surrounded by beautiful girls because this is baby girl bump number three. And as a boy mama, I admit that I totally live that girl mom life vicariously through my clients!

I always what characters and songs kids like and this mama said big sis likes Mary Poppins….but I honestly don’t know the first thing about Mary Poppins. However, I can tell you alllll about dinosaurs and cars, so there’s that! haha.

Mama wore one of my favorite dresses in the Client Wardrobe! I don’t always love a lot of pattern on a dress because it can be distracting in photos, but this floral pattern is perfect. The girls wore the sweetest little white eyelet dresses, which you can never go wrong with! And their little white bows are classics here in Charleston. I always recommend pinning your little girls’ hair back, especially on the beach because of the wind. I’m convinced Dad’s have it the easiest with wardrobe (and hair, ha!) – a nice pair of khaki or light grey chino style pants with a white, blue or grey button down almost always works! Even in the heat, I recommend men wearing pants as they just photograph better.

I can’t get enough beach maternity sessions like this, especially on Isle of Palms. So glad my clients brave the heat with me for these gorgeous pink sunsets!
