I love this sunny beach maternity session at Isle of Palms for so many reasons! It’s been a while since I have had a maternity session with just Mom and Dad. Usually I am trying to work around toddlers (which I love!) so there isn’t always time to slow down and chat. I really enjoyed getting to know these two and hearing their excitement for all that is to come as they prepare for their baby girl to arrive!

This session included both 35mm film and digital images. I also love how film looks on the beach and how it handles the golden hour sun! It gives me a little more flexibility with light, but it also requires me to be a little more intentional. Because of that, I find when I shoot film I tend to really wait and look for those special moments!

These two could not have been more sweet. Mama looked beautiful in our Show Me Your Mumu Emily from our client wardrobe and had her hair and makeup done with Lashes and Lace. I cannot recommend the ladies there enough! They know how to make us Mama’s feel our best, and photos are the perfect excuse for a little pampering!

I am so excited these two (and baby!) are first year members! I cannot wait for their newborn, motherhood and one year sessions over the next year. You’ll have to be sure to check back and watch baby girl grow!
