I think it’s safe to assume that most newborn and family photographers love babies. Right? So you can imagine my excitement when this Mama reached out and told me she was having twins boys. Not only did I get to photograph one baby boy, but TWO! But before that, we snuck in a twin maternity session on Isle of Palms.

As excited as we all were for their twin maternity session, we weren’t totally sure it was going to happen. Covid was really picking up in Charleston and there were some pretty heavy restrictions on Isle of Palms. With a couple of weeks to go, the restrictions were lifted slightly and I was able to resume socially distanced sessions (you can read more about our safety precautions here).

I think all of our hearts needed this session. It brought a sense of normalcy and an opportunity to celebrate such an incredible milestone for their family. And while every session pulls at my heart, this one pulled a little harder. These last few months have been undoubtedly some of the hardest times for all of us. So much uncertainty. But while we were on the beach, these two were present. They took in each moment with one another, and it was beautiful to witness and to photograph!

Mama’s Dress: Client Wardrobe – Fillyboo Maternity

Mama wore our soft pink Fillyboo maternity dress and could not have been more stunning. It’s definitely one of our most popular client wardrobe dresses for the beach. The soft pink against the colors on the beach at sunset photographs beautifully, especially on film!

I could not have asked for a better first session back and I cannot wait to meet these sweet boys!
