This twin newborn session was an absolute dream session to photograph here in the Charleston area! You might remember seeing this beautiful mama here when I photographed their maternity session on Isle of Palms. It was such an honor to see them again and meet their twin boys.

Originally mama had hoped for a hospital session, but because of visitor restrictions due to Covid, I wasn’t allowed in the hospital. So sad! But, I think we made a great decision to go with an in-home session because the light in their home was so beautiful!

These twins started off the session awake but content, so I thought it would be fun to start with photos of just the boys next to each other. It was so fun to see their size difference yet still see how much the twins looked alike!

Once I got all of my favorite baby detail photos, I snuck in a few film photos and swaddled them up! They were so content and happy the entire session and fell right asleep once they were swaddled.

And gosh- this nursery! It was so perfect between the classic yet modern touches of acrylic crib rails and felt mobile. I hope you love seeing a glimpse of this sweet newborn session!

Wardrobe Styling

I typically ask mamas to start the session with baby in a white onesie or simple neutral outfit because it allows me to photograph all of the little details without any distractions.

Mom wore one of my favorite linen dresses from the Client Wardrobe. The pretty flutter sleeves and neutral color were perfect to keep the focus on the twins!
