Hello, September!! I know it’s still hot here in Charleston but we can officially talk about Fall now, right?! I am so excited to share 6 Fall family session outfit ideas with you!

From cool tones to warm tones, neutrals and fall tones, I created these inspiration boards to take some of the stress off of you and make the planning process so much easier!

What colors photograph best?

For Fall I know we all tend to gravitate toward darker colors and jewel tones with styling. However, I recommend balancing them out with neutrals as much as possible. I find that bold colors and prints tend to take away from the focus of the image and can create color casts on your skin that are difficult to remove.

When deciding on outfits, think about color “families” and try to keep everyone in cool tones (more blue and grey) OR warm tones (camel, sage green, blush, off white, etc). Textures like knits and layers are great too!

Also keep in mind how your images will look on the walls of your home when you print your images!
