Beach sessions are in full force here in Charleston! I admit this Isle of Palms extended family session set the bar high! Being a Charleston family photographer gives me an opportunity to connect with so many local families, but also so many visitors! This sweet family was here to celebrate a vowel renewal and the weather could not have been more perfect for their session.

You could tell how close this whole family is, which made it so fun to capture these memories for them. So fun in fact that I filled an entire memory card with images. I actually had to split this blog post up into THREE posts, just to share all of the beautiful images with you! So stay tuned for the rest!

I’m so glad this family trusted me with this spot on Isle of Palms because its so beautiful at sunset. The dunes, the grass, the beach- its gave us a lot of variety for their session. Combine that with the cutest kids and it was perfection!

I only take a limited number of extended family sessions because they are quite a bit of work, from prepping, to the session and even in post-processing. But they are SO necessary! I love that I can give families those group shots with everyone smiling at the camera but also split up into the individual families and still capture candids too.

In my opinion this it totally the way to go if you’re visiting Charleston with your family! Getting big families together back home can be so hard with conflicting schedules.
