Okay you guys this is the last post of this Extended family session on Isle of Palms, and its a goodie! You can see more at part two here! I never thought as a Charleston family photographer that I’d have enough images to split a session into three blog posts… but this was such a fun one!

I cannot get over how cute these two sweet kiddos are, and they both rocked this session. It was an early Summer sunset session, so we were probably past their bedtimes. I know that can be such a turnoff for families with young kids but they really do better than you’d think! In my session guide I suggest a good meal right before the session which seems to help. I also have a few tricks up my sleeve to keep them interested!

We were on a limited time table during booking with this family’s trip to Charleston coming up. I’m SO glad we made it happen though. As a Charleston family photographer, I try to treat extended family sessions as much like a regular session as possible. I know I’ve gone into this in other posts, but after the group photos we always break into the immediate families for some of the more intimate, candids.

I loved being able to document this extended family’s first visit to the Charleston-area. We debated a few locations but landed on this spot of Isle of Palms. And not I’m convinced it will forever be a favorite of mine!
